Looking to expand into the Cloquet, Minnesota healthcare market, Essentia Health opened the Cloquet Clinic offering primary, specialized, and urgent care services. Conveniently located on the frontage road of Highway 33 as you enter Cloquet from Highway 35, the clinic is positioned to serve Cloquet as well as the neighboring communities.

Working with a limited budget, LHB designed the one-story clinic to use standard building materials, and simple detailing to conform to the budgetary demands while providing daylight and views for staff and patients to enjoy. As part of the design, the building and site amenities have been developed to expand and double in size. This future thinking will allow Essentia Health to expand the services the clinic provides without major impacts to the ongoing operations.

Inside the clinic, a contemporary material palette enhances the patient and family experience. Calming accent colors minimize the anxiety of patients as they experience their personal journey to better health.
