Interior Designer
LHB has an opportunity for an Interior Designer to join our Integrative Design Team. The position can be based out of our Duluth or Minneapolis, MN offices.
Position Summary
The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
- Prepare documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials
- Prepare, gather and verify product information for specification
- Assist in selection of interior finish materials and furniture
- Coordinate with other disciplines and team members on design tasks
- Developing conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents for both interior finishes and interior architecture
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of experience as an Interior Designer
- Interior Design Certification (CID)
- Experience producing documents in Revit or other BIM software
- Demonstrated proficiency in visualization software such as Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite
- Exceptional design skills
- Experience with multi-family residential buildings
- Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Hand drawing skills
- Experience with affordable housing and/ or supportive housing
- Experience with housing-specific sustainable design initiatives including Green Communities, LEED, B3, Energy Star, PHIUS and/or similar
