Front Desk / Office Assistant
LHB has an immediate opportunity for a Front Desk / Office Assistant to join our team. The position will be based in our Minneapolis, Minnesota office located at 701 Washington Avenue North, Suite 200, Minneapolis, MN, 55401.
Position Summary
This is an in-office position Monday through Friday, 30 hours per week with start and stop time flexibility.
The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
- Represent LHB at the front desk by receiving and welcoming guests with a friendly, positive approach
- Responsible for maintaining the physical appearance of the office in a clean and professional manner including all common spaces (lunchroom, work room etc.)
- Handle various administrative tasks, including incoming and outgoing mail, courier coordination, office supply ordering, kitchen maintenance, and additional tasks as assigned
- Support internal printing of projects
- Provide support to leadership as required
- Work with external vendors to ensure maintenance on office equipment is performed and cleaning and maintenance services are performed to meet expectations
- Assist with meetings, including managing conference room calendars, assisting with meeting set-up, providing technology assistance, and arranging for any necessary lunches
- Coordinate with outside vendors to complete projects as assigned
- Assist LHB staff with a variety of different tasks
- Support firm event planning activities
- Other duties as assigned or requested
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional and courteous approach to client hospitality, with the ability to work with a variety of personalities and work styles
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong inter-personal communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be proactive, detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work in the office M-F; start and stop times can be flexible
- Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the engineering, architecture, and/or construction industry
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
