LHB is pleased to announce that Matthew Settergren, PE has been named to lead its Public Works, Structures & Survey (PWSS) business unit. Settergren joined the company in 2018 and previously served as engineering manager on the PWSS team.
In his new role, Settergren will oversee all operations related to LHB’s work on roads, bridges, highways, surveying, and public works infrastructure. “I look forward to strengthening our relationships with LHB’s existing public works clients, establishing and growing new creative collaborations, and working to enhance our core services and capabilities,” Settergren said. “We will continue to build on our reputation for delivering resilient and thoughtful design services that meet the client’s needs of today with their future in mind.”
A graduate of the University of North Dakota, Settergren has been leading transportation projects for public works clients in the Midwest for more than a decade. He has worked on several notable and award-winning LHB projects, including the Trunk Highway 61 Grand Marais and Grand Portage reconstruction projects. Earlier this year, the Grand Marais project received a prestigious Engineering Excellence Grand Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota.
