LHB Names Anne Porter, CID, PreK-12 Studio Leader

LHB is pleased to announce that Anne Porter, CID, has been named its PreK-12 Studio Leader.

With over 20 years of interior design experience, Porter excels as a leader, integrator, and mentor of talent, specializing in project management, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, and client relations. Her extensive experience in government, healthcare, and education projects, combined with her previous role as senior project manager, positions her perfectly to lead the team as it partners with clients to create exceptional learning environments for students, faculty, and the community at large.

Porter’s journey with LHB began in 2000 as a college intern while studying at the University of Wisconsin–Stout. She officially joined the firm in 2002, leaving briefly in 2013 to serve as Lead Facility Designer at Essentia Health. Porter rejoined LHB in February 2015 as part of its PreK-12 studio, working out of its Superior, WI office.

Throughout her time at LHB, Porter has been actively involved in various initiatives, including job-shadow and internship programs, and the Make-A-Wish organization. She is also an LHB shareholder and an At-Large LHB board member. Leveraging her broad leadership expertise, Porter has managed numerous projects that feature PreK-12 learning environments, including Superior High School, Stanley Boyd Elementary Remodel, YMCA Early Childhood Development Center, and the Rice Lake Community Center.

Porter is deeply engaged in her community and a life-long resident of Superior, WI. She values LHB’s support of employees’ involvement in local boards and volunteerism. Her community roles include serving as Past Chair of the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the Superior Scholarship Foundation, a member of the City of Superior, WI Planning Commission, and Chair of the City’s Redevelopment Authority.

Porter’s dedication to creating impactful learning environments is reflected in the broader mission of LHB’s PreK-12 studio.
