LHB Announces New Licensures and Staff Promotions

LHB is pleased to announce several new licensures and staff promotions:  

Jennifer Brunder CID, IIDA has been promoted to Project Manager/Certified Senior Interior Designer. She joined LHB in 2016 and focuses on educational design and interior design. She attended Bemidji State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in design technology. 

Austen Bryan, PE has been promoted to Project Manager/Senior Electrical Engineer. He specializes in pipeline and power projects and was hired by LHB in 2014. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth. 

Chris Bubser, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has been promoted to Senior Project Manager/Senior Architect. Chris joined LHB in 2019 as a member of the firm’s PreK-12 Studio and has specific skills in construction administration and enclosure design and coordination. He’s currently involved in design for Lien Elementary in Amery, WI, as well as construction administration for North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, MN; Park Elementary and Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN; and a parking ramp for the City of Eau Claire, WI. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Iowa State University. 

Megan Goplin, PE has been promoted to Project Manager/Senior Civil Engineer. Hired by LHB in 2015, she is a member of the firm’s public works group and specializes in roadway, ADA, and park and trail design. She holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. 

Riley Johnson has been promoted to Senior Mechanical Designer. Hired by LHB in 2020, he serves clients in mining, pipeline, and oil and gas distribution. Riley holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth.  

Elden Lindamood, AIA has been promoted to Project Manager/Senior Architect. A low-energy construction expert, he joined LHB’s Government Studio in 2020 and has worked on projects across the Midwest. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from North Dakota State University.  

Andy Madson AIA, LEED AP has been promoted to Senior Project Manager/Senior Architect. A member of LHB’s Housing Studio, he joined the firm in 2002 and is involved in all phases of the design and construction process. Andy has been a key player in the design of Leijona, a jail-turned-apartments, and Skyridge Flats, an affordable housing project for seniors, both located in Duluth. In Minneapolis, he has overseen design work for Portico at the Falls, a 24-unit condominium development near Minnehaha Creek, and Bimosedaa, a development that will transform the historic Rockler Fur Building in Minneapolis into apartments for members of the Native community who have experienced homelessness. 

Alicia O’Neill has been promoted to Senior Designer. A member of LHB’s PreK-12 Studio, she specializes in Revit modeling/drafting and construction administration. Alicia is a graduate of Iowa State University’s architecture program and joined the firm in 2020.  

Zoe Randazzo Huber has been promoted to Senior Designer. As a member of the firm’s Government Studio, Zoe has worked on projects ranging from nature centers to transit facilities. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from North Dakota State University and joined LHB in 2020.  

Matthew Schaffran has been promoted to Senior Mechanical Designer. He was hired by LHB in 2021 and specializes in pipeline design and stress analysis. A graduate of North Dakota State University, he has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.  

Andrew Sydow, PE has been promoted to Project Manager/Senior Mechanical Engineer. Andy joined LHB’s pipeline team in 2014. He provides design, analysis, and plan production for pipeline projects. He graduated from Rice University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. 

Brooke Thorson has been promoted to Senior Electrical Designer. A supervisor who manages pipeline projects, she joined LHB in 2019. She holds a bachelor’s degree in integrated engineering from Minnesota State University, Mankato.  

Emily Timm AIA, LEEP AP has been promoted to Project Manager/Senior Architect. She joined LHB in 2019 and is a member of the firm’s Housing Studio, focusing on affordable housing design and project management. Emily earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture at the University of Minnesota. 

Garrett VanRoekel, Assoc. AIA has been promoted to Senior Designer. Educated at Dunwoody College of Technology’s School of Design, Garrett joined LHB in 2019 as a member of LHB’s Housing Studio. 

Jess Vetrano, PLA is now licensed as a Professional Landscape Architect in Minnesota. Jess holds degrees in architecture, urban studies, and landscape architecture from the University of Minnesota and University of Washington. She has been a member of LHB’s Landscape Architecture Studio since 2019.
