Mechanical Engineering Intern | Building Design

LHB has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Integrative Design Team Business Unit.  This position can be based in our Duluth or Minneapolis, MN offices depending on the candidate’s preference.

This is a hybrid working position for summer 2025 with the possibility of continuing through the 25-26 academic year. Actual hours and schedule will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Position Summary

As a mechanical engineering intern, you will have customized, hands-on training through direct project experience and related additional duties.  You will be working with plumbing, fire protection and HVAC design and drafting, as well as assisting with field verification.  In this position, you will also interact with several LHB disciplines, clients, and contractors in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
