Leadership Electrical Engineer
LHB is looking for an Electrical Engineer that is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. This position is part of our Integrative Design Team that designs high-performance buildings and sites for Government, Education, Commercial, and Healthcare clients. Our ideal candidate desires to be a leader, integrator, and mentor of talent and wants to work in a highly collaborative and creative environment. This position will be responsible for the critical components of running a highly sustainable and future-looking Electrical design group. Working with the Mechanical leadership the lead Electrical Engineer will help set the direction for growth on the Electrical side of our Mechanical and Electrical Studio.

Position Summary
The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
- Leading and mentoring the electrical staff
- Setting and upholding a positive culture
- Interacting with project teams and clients
- Overseeing
- Project staffing
- Lighting and controls, power, and low voltage systems design
- Project specifications development
- Photometric, short circuit, and available fault current calculations
- Ensuring LHB QA/QC processes are followed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 7+ years’ experience in the design and construction industry
- Knowledge of Electrical codes, concepts, and design
- Licensed engineer in the state of Minnesota OR capable of licensure in Minnesota and Wisconsin
- Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Innovator in the field of Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrated knowledge/familiarity with Revit and/or BIM software
- Knowledge of Specifications
- Knowledge of low-voltage systems
