Interior Design Intern
LHB has an opportunity for an Interior Design Intern to join our Integrative Design Business Unit. The position will be based out of our Duluth or Minneapolis, MN offices.
This is a hybrid working position for summer 2024 with the possibility of continuing through the 2024-25 academic year. Actual hours and schedule will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Position Summary
The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
Project team support in design related tasks under direct supervision:
- BIM Model Drafting
- Finish Selection
- Digital Finish Boards
- Presentation Materials
Material Library Management Tasks under direct supervision:
- Organization of interior finish samples
- Ordering, receiving and mailing of interior finish samples
- Communicating and scheduling product sales representative visits
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing an Interior design degree from an accredited program: 3rd year Bachelor student
- Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference will be given to applicants that are able to work out of the Duluth, MN office
- Minneapolis, MN candidate may be asked to travel to the Duluth, MN office on an as needed basis
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit & In-Design
- Independent worker with strong time management skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Professional verbal communication skills
