Landscape Architecture Intern
LHB has an opportunity for a Landscape Architecture Intern to join our Integrative Design Team. The position can be based out of our Duluth or Minneapolis, Minnesota offices.
This is a hybrid working position for summer 2024 with the possibility of continuing through the 2024-25 academic year. Actual hours and schedule will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Position Summary
The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
- Development of graphics for visual communication
- Technical/CAD drafting support for construction documents
- Assistance in writing and compiling reports
- Working collaboratively with a team
- Small amount of travel within Minnesota and Wisconsin may be required
Minimum Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a professional degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited degree program with anticipated graduation in 2025 or 2026
- Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Application materials should demonstrate:
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional verbal communication and writing skills
- Preference will be given to candidates who also demonstrate:
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software such as Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino
- Exceptional design skills and creativity
- Knowledge of sustainable design strategies
