Shop and Office Expansion

One Stop Shop

LHB provided full services on this facility expansion, including office space, a maintenance shop, wash bay, and a tool crib. Structural engineering posed challenges due to the poor soil conditions at the site.

LHB utilized a combination of driven piles and helical piles supporting grade beams and structural slabs. Void forms were used in unheated areas to minimize frost heave impacts. The superstructures consisted predominately of pre-engineered steel building construction.

LHB’s multi-disciplinary team worked closely with the facility manager, contractor, and testing agency to follow the project through completion.
