Hybrid Medical Animation

Office Relocation and Renovation

A passion for mid-century modern

After working with Hybrid Medical Animation several years ago on their studio loft space in Minneapolis, LHB was invited to design their new studio in a recently renovated suburban office park. The location provided the perfect backdrop for a mid-century modern inspired design. LHB combined the building’s simple concrete and glass facade with Hybrid’s deep appreciation for all things mid-century to create a studio that provides multiple screening elements for separate work activities while still allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the space from the building’s windows along three sides of the studio. For inspiration, LHB used Charles and Ray Eames’ signature style, simple forms, and color combined with honey-colored wood tones, to create an active and collaborative space for intense creativity. To balance this energy, it was recognized that creatives get deeply immersed in their work and “nesting” strategies were introduced with focused lighting and thoughtful placement of workstations to enhance privacy and minimize interruptions when intense concentration is needed.

High-Tech, High-Design

High-powered 3-D animation and modeling is key to the creative success for Hybrid, and what better way to show clients that they have what it takes than to showcase their electronic muscle in a high-tech glass box?
