Determined to Do Better
We are deeply committed to the communities we serve. Since the earliest days of LHB, we have been driven to be the best neighbors through donations, service, and volunteerism. From gender equity and social-justice issues to sustainability research and climate solutions, we proactively work to build healthy relationships that serve the greater good.
Scholarship Support
LHB has established and contributes to several scholarships that benefit students seeking education in the design professions. This financial support assists students interested in engineering, architecture, planning, and regenerative design at such institutions as the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, University of Minnesota Duluth, Dunwoody College of Technology, and North Dakota State University.
Affordable & Supportive Housing
More than two decades ago, we participated in our first new house build for Habitat for Humanity in South Minneapolis. Since then, we’ve worked with nonprofit developers to create thousands of affordable and supporting dwelling units.
Donations, Service & Volunteerism
LHB regularly participates in local initiatives such as highway clean-up, Second Harvest, blood drives, and the YMCA Sidewalk Shuffle. We also donate to, and advocate for, causes that center on equity and social justice.
A Keystone Company
LHB is a proud member of the Minnesota Keystone Program. As part of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, the program promotes corporate philanthropy by recognizing and honoring companies that donate at least 2% of their pretax earnings to charitable organizations. These donations include cash or in-kind donations, including pro-bono services and/or employee paid volunteer time.
