Project Architect (Higher Education)
LHB has an exciting opportunity for a Project Architect to join our award-winning team! The primary role includes working with our Higher Education clients, with the ability to experience other markets such as commercial, community design, and healthcare. Our projects range from master plans, predesigns, and minor remodels to large renovation projects and new construction. This full-time opportunity will be based in our Duluth or Minneapolis office with hybrid work options (home/office) available. This full-time position offers an opportunity to use your technical, design, and communication skills to work with our integrative, multidiscipline team on a wide range of projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with concept development in the early stages of design (master planning, predesign, schematic design)
- Develop design concepts and details for inclusion in Construction Documents
- Collaborate with the project team and coordinate details between disciplines
- Communicating with clients and owner representatives
- Construction administration activities
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- Licensure in Minnesota or the ability to obtain licensure
- 4-8 years’ experience
- Ability to communicate in drawn, written, and verbal forms
- Demonstrated proficiency in Revit
- Curiosity for learning and innovation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specification writing
- Experience with the B3 Guidelines and Minnesota Sustainable Building 2030 (SB 2030)
- Demonstrated proficiency in visualization software such as Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Interest in business development and marketing
- Interest in project management
- Knowledge of sustainable and regenerative design strategies
- Self-motivated individual who goes above and beyond to add value to projects
